Now a days there are more and more people getting braces.
I recently got braces and I want to tell you my experience of having them. They can sometimes be hard and hurt unbearable amounts but it all gets better.
There is more and more hidden sugars is food and you are told to cut down on the sugar because you can get stains on your teeth. When I eat food I have to think what I can eat as hard food break my brace or will it stick? Does it have to much sugar in?
The odd time you can have sugary food but not all the time because they are not for long and you don't want stains on your teeth for the rest of your life.
Women are suppose to have 25 grams of sugar a day that is 6 teaspoons and men are suppose to have 37.5 grams of sugar that is 9 teaspoons. Many foods have lots of hidden sugar. Fizzy drinks are very bad for sugar.
But if you brace is hurting or aching it only happens for a few days it gets better, it is all worth it, short term pain for long term gain.
You may talk a bit different but that is not for long just until you get used to it.
I talked different but my voice went back to normal in a few days so don't worry about that don't think your voice has changed forever cause it has not.
It gets so much better, keep at them and you are not the only one with braces you will get through it.
